Why is a lockable outdoor outlet useful?
An exposed outdoor outlet carries risks: unauthorized persons can draw power, children could come into contact with live parts, and moisture can enter in bad weather. The Bachmann outdoor outlet with model number 924.349 addresses these issues in several ways. By allowing the outlet to be secured with a padlock, access is limited to authorized persons. The integrated flip cover and the IP44 rating ensure that neither splashing water nor foreign objects with a diameter of 1 mm or larger can enter the interior. This makes the outlet a safe and reliable solution for the garden, terrace, garage, or workshop.
What advantages does a weatherproof socket with IP44 protection offer for wall mounting?
The IP44 rating means that the outlet is protected against the ingress of solid foreign objects 1 mm or larger and against splashing water from all directions. This makes it well suited for permanent mounting on exterior walls, under canopies, or in semi-open areas such as carports and garden sheds. Surface-mounted installation simplifies installation considerably, as no flush-mounted box is required. The electrician simply fastens the outlet to the wall with screws and connects it to the existing electrical installation. The compact dimensions of 185 x 85 x 80 mm allow an unobtrusive placement even on narrow wall surfaces. With a rated voltage of 230 V and a rated current of 16 A, the outlet reliably covers the usual power needs of garden lighting, power tools, pumps, and other outdoor devices.
For which applications is the Bachmann outdoor outlet particularly suitable?
The versatile Bachmann outdoor outlet is used wherever a protected and lockable power supply is needed outdoors. Typical application sites include single-family homes, terraced housing complexes, multi-family houses, allotment garden colonies, and commercial properties. Mounted on the house wall it supplies garden lighting, lawn mowers, pressure washers, or hedge trimmers with power. In the garage it provides a convenient connection for power tools or chargers. On the balcony it enables the safe operation of string lights or electric grills. With a transparent plastic housing in matte black, the outlet blends harmoniously into almost any environment. The option to lock the outlet with a standard padlock makes it particularly attractive for publicly accessible or communal areas.
